Search from Location bar troubles... Cookies?

Hi there,

I'm having some trouble using:
thumbnails.php?album=search&keywords=on&search=blue+sky

This works fine, and displays everything correctly, but ONLY if i've done a previous search. (and if the previous search has the same parameters - eg keywords - ticked)

When it runs a search through search.php, it seems to be changing the cpgXX_data cookie somehow/somewhere, which somehow seems to authorise thumbnails.php to display the results..

So when I view thumbnails.php?album=search&keywords=on&search=blue+sky with no cookies on the system I don't get the result.
When I view thumbnails.php?album=search&keywords=on&search=blue+sky after (in a separate window) typing any search query into search.php, I get the appropriate result...

can anyone tell me what's going on here, and how to fix it?
