Block spam but allow public comments

At my site: totalcollection.inf I receive a lot of comments. At first start when I saw the numbers, I was amazed but when I checked it out, those look spams to me because they give a lot of links to other sites.

I do love to open comments for everyone, but how to prevent those spams?

There are in fact many methods:

• Captcha plugin
• Captcha Mod
• Akismet mod

All of them work as expected. Read the initial posting of the thread starter and do as suggested there. Only if you run into troubles you need to read on and check if someone had similar problems to yours. Don't be afraid that people report issues installing the mod or plugin - this is to be expected mostly because humans make mistakes. It doesn't mean that there is something wrong with the plugin/mod in itself.
