I wonder if we can config the those "Randoms and Last Edition" sections to the top of all albums.

Thanks

Yes, you can. This is being covered in the docs and the FAQ and has been asked countless times. You agreed to respect board rules when signing up. They say that you need to read the docs before being allowed to post questions. They say as well that you'll get harsh answers if your posting shows that you obviously haven't done as suggested and failed to read the docs before posting.

Thank you. Anyway, I come this and can't figure out?

QuoteI don't want to show the last uploads and/or random pictureson the start page. How do I edit what's shown on the start page of coppermine?

   1. login as admin into your CPG setup
   2. click on "Admin Mode" if it is not already enabled
   3. Click on Config in the "Admin Menu"
   4. under "Album list view" use the above provided keywords:
          * 'breadcrumb': navigation inside the gallery (e.g. "home > category > subcategory > album")
          * 'catlist': category list
          * 'alblist': album list
          * 'random': random pictures (leaving random pictures "on" for huge galleries with more than 10,000 pics might result in performance problems; switch random "off" in this case)
          * 'lastup': last uploads
          * 'topn': most viewed
          * 'toprated': top rated
          * 'lastcom': last comments
          * 'lasthits': last viewed
          * 'lastalb': last created albums
          * 'anycontent': inserts php-generated custom content that YOU have coded into the file 'anycontent.php' and displays the content on the index page. It can be used to include banner-rotation scripts, welcome scripts, or similar. Where it appears in the index page is determined by it's placement in the string example below.
      (e.g. anycontent/catlist/alblist/random,2/lastup,2 translates to: "anycontent file contents, category list, album list, 2 rows of random pics, 2 rows of last uploads" -- and will display in the order that they are listed)

and this:
QuoteHow can I change the sorting order of the albums?

By default the albums appear in the order they were created. If you want to adjust the sorting order, do the following:

    * Log in as admin;
    * "enter admin mode";
    * select "Albums" from the admin menu strip;
    * choose the category whose albums you want to sort from the dropdown list;
    * highlight an album by clicking on it once;
    * then use the up and down buttons to change the position.
    * Click "apply modifications".
    * Confirm the message "Are you sure you want to make these modifications ?" with "OK"

which I can't find Randoms and Late Addition to move to the top.

Sorry for this trouble and noob question.

Edit:
Is this code supposed to be this ""random,2/lastup,2/catlist/alblist/" to achieve the above?

I'm fed up having to remind you of board rules again and again: Board rules / Forum policies: Post Links
Next time you post, make sure your posting qualifies as "valid in terms of board rules".

I have got no idea what your issue is - random images work as expected for the user gallery as well. As of now, you only have two files in there, so it's little surprise that the random section only shows two of them.
