Possible to totally remove the thumbnail view all together?

Hello, and thank you for all of your help. This forum has been a life saver so far. I have one last issue.

Is it possible to remove the thumbnail view all together? What I would like to do is to have my list of albums link directly to the image view. When you click on an album it will take you directly to the first image in the Image View mode, and skip the thumbnail view.

Does anyone know of a way to acheive this? Thank you soo much for any help!
