As always I did a search at a start before writing a topic, but the things I tried to look at was not the cause. to be more specific.

This one was no use. Neither This one

Intermediate file size is not 1

It's also not a size problem as indicated here

Permissions are checked and OK. I wrote a small php-script to check that the function getimagesize() is working, which it seems to do, it's not returning zero as also indicated in several topics.

So I would really appreciate some hints to what could be the problem.

Actual link to gallery is http://danskfjerkraeforum.dk/cpg1416/
I get the error you report with a known-good jpeg image when trying to http-upload that file.
What image library are you using? Please make a screenshot of the GD section of PHPINFO. Make a screenshot as well of the corresponding section of your config (with your language temporarily switched to English). Please attach those screenshots to your reply (using "additional options" when composing your message).

Thanks for checking and confirming the error. The very strange thing is that now the upload is working ??? ???

I haven't changed anything, but I have asked the host what have happened and what they have changed. For reference, the PHP-info and config settings are attached.

I am completely confused over this error and even more that it's gone away with no action from my side. Once again thanks for your effort.

Your webhost probably fixed something that was broken on his end. Happens quite often. You probably won't get a good answer from them though...
