Hello people! I run http://philcas.org and the gallery (http://philcas.org/coppermine/) shows Fatal Error

While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg145_config" on 0

mySQL error: Can't find file: './philcas/cpg145_config.frm' (errno: 13)

Im not sure what this means.. Its been working fine for years then I just checked today randomly.. then it showed this.. I know nothing about mySQL.. it was a fluke i even got this to work... Can someone please help me :)

Ask your webhost - there is something broken on server level, not on application (coppermine) level.

Mihaela

I have same problem here http://www.mjkingofpop.com/photos/
I ask my webhost about this but they told me this:
"I noticed that there is a Coppermine gallery installed there but I am not sure what changes were made and what might be the reason for this and unfortunately I am unable to assist further with this as we do not provide scripts debugging services.
A solution would be to try undo the modifications that were made or simply reinstall the script."

I do not made any modifications.
What can I do?

Best regards
Mihaela

It's probably not the same problem. You need to enable debug mode to know what the actual problem is.

http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/debug_mode.php

Mihaela

I did like the tutorial and gave me this :

QuoteSQL query:

UPDATE `cpg1416_config` SET `value` = '1' WHERE CONVERT( `name` USING utf8 ) = 'debug_mode' LIMIT 1

MySQL said:

#1142 - UPDATE command denied to user 'mihaela_ei'@'supremecenter102.com' for table 'cpg1416_config'
I do not know what to do more.
I'm not good at php

Mihaela

I solved the problem.
Thank you very much for your time.

After hijacking an unrelated thread you could at least have posted what you actually did to solve your issue - for the benefit of others with similar issues. Read up board rules!

Mihaela

Do not know how to explain that. I'm not too good. But I deleted some stuff in phpMyAdmin. There was full. After I deleted what I considered I don't need it worked.

philcasofbc

unfortunately i still havent solved it :(:( i really dont know what to do and all my pic files are in there... i dun have it saved anywhere else.. will i have to reinstall? :/

Nibbler

What did your webhost say?

philcasofbc

this is what they said:

"Looks like your database is corrupted. You will need to remove and reinstall coppermine.

Low Budget Host

i dont want to reinstall.. but if thats the only way... ima lose everythin

Mihaela

Try to delete from the database what you do not need.

philcasofbc

im sorry this may be a stupid question but how do i get to the database? I really don't know much.

I go into my FTP server and then?

No, that's not a good idea.

FTP is a protocoll that is not related, nor is your FTP application related. You need to directly control the database. The database doesn't come with a front end (a user interface) out of the box. If your webhost provides cpanel, you might have a front-end, but probably, you don't have a front-end. Such a front-end is phpMyAdmin - you need to download that application for free and install it on your webspace. That app will then allow you to try to repair the broken tables.

Then they're not only low-budget, but incompetent. That piece of advice is bull***. You better find a good webhost soon - I wouldn't trust my data to such people who don't know their way around.

o well

i am going to try to reinstall it and i dont even know how ahaha wish me luck

Not a bright move. Sounds like you buy a new car when you get a flat tire. Well, if you can afford it... ::)
