Tarique said "Why dont you post this news on the Mods/AddOns Forum at the Coppermine site".

So here goes:

The Coppermine Photo Gallery module for phpSlash and Back-End is available for download.

The module project/download site:

and demo:

Go easy, it's the first release :)

erm, could you post a short description what this is all about? Apparently you had a conversation over PM or some other channel not available on this board... ;)
I guess phpSlash is a portal/cms similar to phpNuke/postNuke/e107 etc., is this correct?

A short introduction -

phpSlash is a CMS that provides an easy and flexible means to publish websites. It currently boasts full HTML templates, an OO design, the ability to operate in a hosted environment, and a bunch of other goodies.  (http://www.php-slash.org)

It uses phplib including php4 sessions.  The Coppermine module also uses php4 sessions.  This reduced a database call on most pageviews.  Older than the other projects you mentioned, it was released in 1998 and has grown up over time as you could expect.

Back-End is a multi-lingual CMS based on the phpSlash code base. Articles, links & photo galleries integrated into a common hierarchy. Content administrators can edit their content through a choice of text, html, wiki or a WYSIWYG editor. (http://www.back-end.org/)

Back-End has been in the top ten most popular projects on Sourceforge.
Back-End demo here:

Tarique and I are both phplib developers and I had sent him a previous email letting him know about the patch/module.

I hope this helps,

Joe
