My photo gallery (1.4.8) has been working flawlessly for a long time.  However, now something/someone has overtaken hte top portion and my gallery is further down the page.  I am not sure where it is coming from (template) but I need to fix it immediately.

No.

Yes, indeed you're running that version and it mean that you should update immediately.

Catching up! :)

Thanks for looking.

I realize I need to update to the latest version... but I'm afraid this will carry through to the new install unless I fix it first?

ramagram

OK.. I upgraded to 1.4.21... still have the problem   >:(

ramagram

... and now since I upgraded, when I go to config and change a setting, I click on save new config and now I get a page with 2 empty boxes on top of each other and an authenticate box.  I'm assuming it's username / password, but there is no text on the page at all.  After entering the correct username/password, it does not save the settings and it goes to a generic page with this as the code:

pakolkifooter?  is that right?  lol

<!--- pakolkifooter2 ---><div class="footer" align="center" style="padding-top: 10px;">Powered by <a href="http://coppermine-gallery.net/" title="Coppermine Photo Gallery" rel="external">Coppermine Photo Gallery</a></div><font color="#FFFFFF"> </font>

Sounds like something os wrong with your custom theme. Have you tried to see if everything works OK with the default classic theme?
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

ramagram

good idea.. but I can't change the theme.  See my last post with regards to that.

Thanks

I tried that.. but thanks a lot for your help.  I still get that weird authenticate page after I try to change my config settings.

Clean include/config.inc.php and read the 'Yikes' thread.

that you should update immediately.
That's not the proper advise: if a site has been hacked, it's not enough to just upgrade. You need to sanitize the entire site, which is a time-consuming task that is being described in the Yikes-thread as Nibbler pointed out.

ramagram

Thanks guys..

I did run across that yikes thread... that'll take some time!  At least I have cleared up the bad content... now I can work on the yikes.
