I have been all over hell trying to find out what's wrong with my galleries. My hosting company has no idea what's wrong with it, nor does the web designer I pay from time to time for this sort of thing. It's been a month since my photos (thumbnails, etc) have been totally wiped out, replaced with x's where they should be. My web guy first thought that the database must have forgotten the path to the photos, but he looked and apparently that's NOT the case. Can someone take a look at this and tell me what they think? Thank you!

You have been hacked, so it seems that you have upgraded only recently (but too late). There's a redirect in place (using .htaccess) that redirects all picture calls to google. Get rid of that .htaccess file, sanitize your gallery (as suggested in the Yikes-thread) and you'll be good.
