[Solved]: login problem with IE

just set up newest version of coppermine, I've done several without incident, but this time, after initially working fine, I'm having a strange problem unique to Internet Explorer (7). After accepting my login it fails to display the admin menus. Whats even stranger is that it worked fine the first day, then didn't, then once it did a couple days later, and not since.

since I did some very minor customization to the theme, I thought that might be it, but happens with other untouched stock skins.

login performs properly with Firefox

I reset all my IE security settings to default etc. (I hadn't made any changes during the aforementioned off/on occurences of the problem)

Have you tried clearing all your IE cookies?

I thought I had, but I didn't    d'oh
