I am trying to change the width to "494" for my gallery as that is the width of my header I have set the width in my template and in config to that number but when I go to my gallery my image repeats. How do I change the setting so it only shows the image once in full? I did some searching but only found that it needs to be changed in template and confing....

You need to upgrade before doing anything else. Your version is very old.

I just downloaded the update and read the documenation for how to do it and have decided not to upgrade, there's all kinds of backing up involved and making sure not to overwrite files and my luck has always been that upgrading things cause problems because things never come out right and things get lost.

Joe Carver

If you don't do the upgrade your gallery could get hacked and you will need the backups anyway. Read the upgrade instructions in the docs. carefully and you will be fine. A general rule of this forum is that help and is offered for current versions of Coppermine only.

Okay,I am upgrading this gallery as there arent many files, I am too nervous though to upgrade my other galleries as I have already seen issues at a site I co-web at where issues have caused us to loose our gallery and re-installing our backup failed (would only write 13 of 20 tables) and we lost our database.

BabeandJamie4Ever

The gallery is updated, and the anycontent.php is still supposed to remain from my older version as we arent supposed to overwrite it correct?

Joe Carver

Correct. As for your first question - you might want to try putting the image in a <div> or in a table division.

BabeandJamie4Ever

There already is a <div> but tried another specifically around the image and it didnt change anything. Not sure what a table division is...

Why don't you tell us how you fixed your issue for the benefit of others with similar questions? That's the point of a support board and part of the board rules you agreed to respect when signing up.
