I installed Coppermine a few minutes ago, and now it seems like I can't access the admin page, it only says;

*** Couldn't log in. Try again ***

So here's a link to the gallery: http://liliosusie.se/cpg14x/

Thanks in advance.

Annelie
I know.

I have tried that. In the next step everything is blank, white.
I know.

If you're able to go to the install screen after having completed the install process, there is only one explanation: the installer wasn't able to write the configuration file that stores the data you enter during install and that stops the installer from being run for a second time.
http://liliosusie.se/cpg14x/include/config.inc.php seems to be there (you can access that URL and only get a white screen as expected and no 404 not found error), however, http://liliosusie.se/cpg14x/include/install.lock isn't there, as I get a 404 not found when accessing that URL.
Set permissions on the include folder as suggested in the docs, permissions section and then re-run the installer once more. If you can't figure out on your own how to accomplish that, ask your webhost for support. Alternatively, create the missing install.lock file manually.

I'm having a similar problem on an installation I'm doing for someone:

http://vmbel.org/gallery/

I read somewhere to check the SQL database to see if the username and password are correct, so I did, but it returns no data. Somehow, I think the installer didn't write those values to the database. This is an install that came bundled with the webhost, and is installed from within cPanel.

That installation is useless, if not a waste of time.

The version  <!--Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.4.10 (stable)-->

is ancient and available for hackers.

Read, learn and do an upgrade. If you still have the problems then start your own thread.

Same problem, same day. Figured it was easier just to jump in.

I'd like to do an upgrade, but it's up to the webhost in this case. They somehow made it so I can't upload a new version, they have to do it, and they're slow to act.

Your reply has helped me in one way: Yes, it is indeed a waste of time, because your attitude has turned me off of it. I will use another gallery script instead.

You were told to butt out of this thread, so why don't you?

OK. Farewell. Can't notice that I'm sad to see you leave.
