Hi,

I´m currently running my gallery on a my Windows 2003 R2 server, everything works fine.
In a couple of week I will buy a new combined photoserver and HTPC. Is it possible to install Coppermine on Windows 7 and then move database + photos to my new computer?

THANKS!

Abbas Ali

If your new windows 7 machine meets these requirements then you can run coppermine on it.

Coppermine is an application designed to run on a server, but Windows 7 is not a server OS afaik ::). We can not recommend nor support self-hosting.
So yes: coppermine will run on any operating system that meets the minimum requirements. The minimum requirements don't discuss the operating system because that's totally invalid, as coppermine is written in an interpreted language.
Your question shows that you're not aware of this and therefor fall into the category "self-hosting not recommended for newbies". Self-hosting is recommended for skilled webserver admins. Usually such people are employed by webhosters.
