First, my thanks to all of the developers who have worked on this product. This will be a great addition to my website.

Mine is a relatively new install (not an upgrade). Although I encountered the problem when I wanted to apply Stramm's modpack I have posted it here because it would be an issue for any update.

I discovered I have no update.php file. To be sure it wasn't something I did, I installed another gallery in a different folder. Same result. I have searched the entire domain. The only update file I have found is include/update.inc.php.

I have also search the entire forum without finding anything related.

My gallery no longer works because the files have have been uploaded to the server but update.php has not been run.

Not sure where you got your coppermine package from. But if you download it from our download section (link to it at the top of the screen) that is hosted on sourceforge.net you should get a package that contains the file that is missing on your site.
Try this please: get a fresh package that we provide, unzip that to a temporary folder on your client and then upload the missing file update.php to your webspace.

My hosting service provides the install.

Thanks. I did as you suggested and that resolved the issue.

Now you can see why we do not support nor recommend hosts installers. Often files are missing or out of date.

Glad you got the problem fixed.

I've marked your thread as solved but in future, can you press the little tick in your fist post to save us the time and to help other users find good answers while searching.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Chicken and egg.
I didn't know about you until I installed the files supplied by the host. I did check the version and theirs appeared to be correct. For those that are interested, Hostek has been very good about support and having the correct files in the past.

I didn't see how to close the topic. Where do you mark it?

Thanks

You will see a tick mark in the top right of your first post. That allows you to mark it as solved.

Have fun.
