I have my host in http://sosugary.com and fter going to the control panel I used the program Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro to upload files from version cpg1.4.25 for host. I also used this tutorial http://coppermine-gallery.net/tutorial/download.php to see how everything is done.

Now how do I go to the gallery?

My url is supposed to be http://mcamaniacos.sosugary.com

heavensportal

have you uploaded the files yet?

the url is to your site unless it is the folder holding all the coppermine files

http://sosugary.com seems to be the main blog type site

the other one: http://mcamaniacos.sosugary.com/

seems to be a sub domain that is attached to your site... did you install the files in  mcmaniacos ?

or did you install them somewhere in a folder called gallery, cpg14x???

I installed the folder with the Coppermine files (I rename to coppermine) someowhere in the wost like in the tutorial. I do everything that is in the tutorial.

then when you go to see your gallery you need to go to either url and add  ---  /coppermine/index.php

but i have to say I just tried with both the links you provided and neither one works so I have to ask exactly where did you upload your files to...did you put them into the public_html directory ofn your server?

if you could provide a screen shot from your ftp---leave out any of the password info stuff please---just the lower windows that show where the files are sitting on your server would be nice.

any and all files that get uploaded to a server need to be placed by:

1. click the item in your side of the ftp window
2. open the public_html folder on the server
3. open the destination folder on the server
4. upload to that destination folder

You have uploaded coppermine in the wrong place. It should go somewhere in the public_html folder, probably in a sub-directory call htdocs in there but without knowing your server setup I cannot say for sure.

Open that folder and what do you have inside?

yes that is where you should move your coppermine folder into the public_html folder. You can use the same name for it or you can call it gallery (galeria).

then you should be able to use the http://mcamaniacos.sosugary.com/name of your gallery folder/install.php  --- I hope

When I go to the instalation it asks for
Your MySQL configuration
This section requires information on how to access your MySQL database. If you don't know how to fill them, check with your webhost support.
MySQL Host
(localhost is usually OK)
MySQL Database Name
MySQL Username
MySQL Password
MySQL table prefix
(default value is OK; do not use dots!)

I don't know what is it!

Speak to your webhost for them. That is why it says it in the message on that page. We do not know them and never could as they are unique to you.

As you are struggling I suggest you pay someone to teach you or to go away and do some learning. Google is your friend and if you work at it you will learn quickly. The purpose of this forum is to help those of a certain standard to accomplish things that are not in the documentation.

As much as we would like to, we do not have the time to teach the basics. Copying files to the correct location and filling out details in a box fall into the category of the basics.

do you have the database created for your gallery yet?

@heavensportal: There's no support by email and we don't want others to encourage support by email, as it's silly and against the principles of a support board. We appreciate your readiness to help, but the regular support board instruments should do in this case.

@nmbento: stop hotlinking screenshots. Only attach them.
