Creating a custom theme/website

http://www.letterheadfonts.com they use the coppermine gallery. I would like to create our site to have a look and feel like that. Ie, removing the login from public view, adding cells off to the side, a front page other than the gallery. all using the same CSS and Theme. How would one do such a task....
