Extreme Newbie : Do I need to download a php program to install the CPG1.2?

Do I need to download a php program to install the CPG1.2? or can i just DL the CPG 1.2 alone?

I don't even know what php is really, is there a link i can get php if i need it.?

Yes you need PHP for installing Coppermine - Coppermine is installed on a web server NOT on a desktop PC - so if you have a website ask your web host if PHP is installed, You will also need a MySQL database

You are going to require a web server ? either run your own IIS server from a Win32 or Unix Machine, or you can subscribe to hosting and pay so much a month. Look at the requirements you will need to install PHP and SQL , both free  to download. also id install myphpadmin aswell. check mysite.com for info.
