About releasing an updated plugin which name has changed

I have added support for other trackers to my Google Analytics plugin. It's now ready for release. The plugin's name has changed (to Externel tracker), so I thought if I should create a new thread for it (and close the GA plugin thread) or just edit the initial post of my GA plugin?
