System based gallery creation

I'd like to use coppermine on my local webserver. That means new images won't be uploaded by a user but by a batch script or something that copies the files automatically to their destinations.
Is something like an automatic image upload possible in coppermine?

Not out of the box. You could modify searchnew.php to come up with a script if you're a coder. However, Coppermine is imo not the right app for you.
