user control panel

When I click the user control panel, i don't have any options, such as to add a user.  No names are listed under the user manager section, not even the one I logged in under.

Please upgrade your gallery to at least 1.4.27, you are vulnerable to attacks.

I've upgraded to 1.5.8. Now when I log in, I get welcome guest.  Looking in cpg145_users, I'm a member of group 1. What else do I need to do or check?

Did you manages to run update.php? If so then loging in works so in all likelyhood it is a problem with your custom theme.

It is simple to check, go to this link and see if you can logon - http://www.oneonta.edu/imagegallery/index.php?theme=curve

If that works then read the docs on upgrading your custom theme.

When you have finished using the cureve theme use ?theme=xxx to clear the cookie forceing the curve theme.

I followed the theme upgrade a few times through to make sure I got everything. Result is the same when I use non-custom themes. Just to add to the madness, I also see that when I click on a thumbnail to see a larger image, I'm asked to login.

unfortunately, that get's me back to the original problem, why I upgraded in the first place, was because I don't have any admin controls when I log in, even though the cpg145_users table says I belong to the admin group.

maybe needs a new thread, but I've upgraded my PHP, and now imagegallery comes up as a blank page.  I've tried everything I could find on various posts, making sure the paths were good, php.ini was uncommented in appropriate place, ext folder was present and correctly listed in php.ini. Can't find anything I haven't tried. Installed in c:\php. You can see the issues here:
