Upgrading from 1.4 til 1.5 med bridge?

Hi All

I've got coppermine integratet in Joomla, and I'm therefore using Mehdi's bridge.
I've got problems in disabling the bridge, all the passwords I've tried with have been rejected, and I've no idea what it is.
Can I upgrade to 1.5 without disabling the bridge?
How do I force the bridge off? There must be some setting in the DB, or?
