slow mysql queries

i am on hostmonster. facing very high cpu throttling issue.

on my slow my sql queries folder, cpg is also one of them...

use eshoppin_cpg;

use eshoppin_cpg;
DELETE FROM cpg14x_banned WHERE expiry < '2010-11-03 12:03:02'

i am running cpg 1.5.6 currently...

some one else facing this issue?

1) Upgrade to cpg 1.5.8

2) Reduce the excessive amount of thumbs on your home page.

as per suggested, i have reduced the lastup to 3 from 5, and random 3 from 5...

i will upgrade to latest in short time.
