It's great that you can add a title and description to a thumb - and add additional commentary in comments.  In my gallery, I will use this for, e.g., "how to" pages for car enthusiasts, where you need more detail than should appear on a thumb - and, where other enthusiasts can add commentary.

Alas - in my limited experimentation with some of the slick navigation tools - Litebox, EnlargeIt!, etc., you lose the ability to view comments.  I know that Highslide has a way to display comments in phpBB forums, not sure of behavior in Coppermine...

But, that's my goal: slick navigation tool, preserve comments.  Can I have my cake and eat it too?

If I understood you right, you're using some plugins that disables the comments feature. If so, I'll move this thread to the plugins board.

Yes, you understand correctly, André.  Please move to that board - sorry, and thanks.

.....Litebox, EnlargeIt!.....

If you want the feature of adding / viewing comments inside LightBox, then you will be waiting for a while. It would be too unwieldy and difficult for me to add the way the plugin is structured. Otherwise, in my testing the comments feature within Coppermine works fine when LightBox is installed.

Adding the comments feature to the EnlargeIt! plugin is better answered by someone else.

Thanks, Joe.  I admit that I haven't tried the Litebox plugin with Coppermine and observed it's behavior with regard to comments.  I'll close this thread and open a new one in the plugins board after I check it out in a few days (I'm away at a conference).
