Hello all,
I checked all upgrade threads but I saw no one having the exact issue.

What I did:
- MySQL backup
- moved gallery to gallery.old
- extracted 1.5.12 to gallery
- copied include/config.php form gallery.old to gallery
- copied anycontent.php form gallery.old to gallery
- move gallery.old/albums to gallery/albums

I started update.php, provided my admin user.
After few seconds it completed with OK or Already Done on all tasks.

As suggested I tried the versioncheck.php, it gave me > You don't have permission to access this page.
I've provided my admin user/pass, it threw > Welcome Guest ... You don't have permission to access this page.

Every time I log-in it says > Welcome Guest ...

I can reproduce as many times I try (I've done several backups/restores, every time the result is the same).
As I don't want gallery downtime I've now went back to the last working configuration, so no gallery link provided.

I have the 'upgraded' copy as well, it runs on a separate location with separate database.(only local access for now)
DEBUG output attached.

- it is not theme related
- no plugins
- no leftovers from 1.4.23
- no broken files in 1.5.12

Any ideas?

Regards,
Alex

Please upload the cpg1.5.x test gallery to a public place so we can have a look at it. Please also provide a test user account (no admin account!).

Thanks for checking.

Your current cookie prefix is 'cpg1.4.23_'. Please try to change it to something without dots, e.g. 'cpg_'.

Now I've deleted all coockies and restarted browser. Looks like it is working now  ;D

Thank you.

I've tried last night a few times the same..however I also had '.' in the new coockie name.
So I decided it is not coockie related.

Thanks again.
Cheers,
Alex

any way to mask the gallery name?
Can I slightly edit my post?
