I'm getting an Image Magick 127 error trying to batch upload photos.

I checked with my host provider. He only has Free Type fonts installed on his linux server. Image Magick is not installed. Does this mean I can't use Coppermine at all?

Many thanks

No you can switch to GD2 in the config panel.

How did you install Coppermine in the first place as GD2 is the default method for resizing images?
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thanks very much Phil for getting back to me on that. I installed Coppermine as per the instructions. Everythng else seems to be working fine. I haven't played around with the config panel at all. But that's encouraging. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to use it. Will give it a go and let you know. Good to hear that GD2 will be ok with FreeType fonts and not need TrueType fonts.

I am getting this same error.
I do not have an Image Magick account.

When I am logged in as admin, I try to batch upload, all the files show up, but as its finishing, I get a red exclaimation point, and an empty album with no information attached.

I ran the Debug and got this:

QuoteCritical error
Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 127

Cmd line :
convert -quality 100 -antialias -geometry 128x104 'albums/userpics/10001/sc1.gif' 'albums/userpics/10001/thumb_sc1.gif'

The convert program said:
sh: convert: command not found

I am really new at building webpages, and was pointed to use Coppermine as a good tool for beginners for creating slideshows.
Thank you.

Go into the coppermine config menu and set your resize method to GD2 instead of Image Magik.

I am assuming you used a one click option with your host to install coppermine as GD2 is the default when manually installing.
