Curious about this spam...

Despite having the latest and greatest of course I still get spam on my gallery. It usually takes the form of this or similar:

insurance companies (...) Wow, the colors are amazing...

I'm curious as to why this is done and how anyone benefits from it. As far as I can tell there's no hyperlink in there, unless they can hide it somehow.

The link has been replaced with

(...)

as it exceeded your maximum number of characters in a word for comments setting.
