When I upload picture it says unable to create thumbnail or reduce image size

Hi There! I just finished the install yesterday and was unable to upload any picture no matter the size, I am not sure what I am doing right or wrong, this program is very confusing, I need big help as no idea what Im doing here, I have been reading tutorials and cannot explain why is this happening I receive an error that says "Unable to create thumbnail or reduce image size"

Login failed. Try again.

You are probably testing with a browser that "remembers" everything for you like logins and passwords, etc.
Try a different browser or start clearing your cookies and cache when testing.

.....this program is very confusing.....

Please, please start reading your document package - it is up to you to learn some things.

Log in to your admin page and select proper graphic software, It should be either Image Magic or ND as far as I remember. I will work fine there after.
