Batch & Single image uploads work; multi-upload doesn't

I'd like to be able to use the flash-based multiple image uploading feature, but it gives me an "Upload Error: 403" for each image I attempt to upload. My /albums, albums/userpics, and albums/edit folders are all CHMOD'd to 777, and both batch uploading and the simple single image uploader work just fine.

Why would two methods of upload work just fine, but the other method give a permissions error? I don't know what to look at or try next to fix this.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
