Can't create a new thread

This is the error I received when opening one of my albums
"My SQL said cant create a new thread (error no 12).  Consult the mannual.  Coppermine critical error.  unable to connect to database."

I am quite new to coppermine and truly find it difficult to use this forum due to lackings in me.  Nevertheless, having spent many hours on uploading files I need help to know what to do.  The manual was not helpful directly. 

Isn't there an easier way to ask for and get help?
