1.5.16 - Akismet - Approving False Positives

I am currently using v1.5.16 and have a valid Aksimet key.
Most times the comments marked as spam are correctly done so but I do have a number of false positives.
After I manually approve these comments they still have a red-circle-with-an-X next to them to mark them as spam (as shown in the image below).

I have manually checked "yes" and then clicked on "Save Changes".
I have checked the box and then used the "with selected" "approve" (at the bottom of review comment screen) then clicked on "Save Changes".
I have logged out/logged back in; refreshed; rebooted the server.
But they still appear to be marked as spam.

Is there someway I can unmark them as spam or am I simply missing an obvious step?
Surely after manual approval they should now have the green tick instead?

Just a note that I did not install this as a plugin.
I do not have any plugins installed at all.
My post wasn't originally in the plugins section, but got moved here, so apologies if it's now in the wrong place.

Sorry I somehow mixed up Akismet with the ReCaptcha plugin, sorry. Moving back to its original place.

I don't know how the Akismet feature is supposed to work in detail. But I guess the little icon just shows if Akismet has classified the comment as spam or not, regardless of the actual state in Coppermine.
