i had this problem in 1.2.
i posted:
Quotethe confirmation buttons after batch uploading files, like the button "OK", are not showing. i see only a "X" instead of the OK-gif. the files were correctly uploaded to the albuns though. only the confirmation buttons are not showing.
all button-images (".gif") are correctly placed in folder "images".

now i deleted my whole 1.2 gallery and database and installed the new 1.3 from zero point. everything works fine
BUT i still get the same problems described above.

batch upload:
- the only confirmation button that appears is "NA" (if no album selected).
- "OK" button and others don't appear.
- the list of the pics that will be uploaded is there but their small thumbs also don't appear. i see only an "X" (broken image).

when visiting your site I can see a garbled up header (Ԫ?CTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> ). Make sure the files you uploaded weren't corrupted during upload (check to have used the proper ftp mode). I recommend re-uploading all files.
There's something fishy with your install. Try eliminating the chance that your custom theme is related to this, using the classic theme for a start and report if the batch-add process doesn't work there as well.

i use three browsers on a mac and i don't see the line quoted above!
all files were uploaded correctly. i used fetch ftp, a good ftp program.

Happens on Opera and Firefox as well as on IE6 (all of them on Windoze2000). Did you enable compression on your webserver? I still suggest re-uploading all files, won't hurt at least. There are ftp clients that can do file comparison (on Windows, for example, I use FileWare's FTP-Sync), I'm sure there are similar programs for Mac/Linux).

you were right! it is related to my modified theme (eventhough the gallery itself works fine with no problems).
i changed to the classic theme and uploaded a file. now i see its thumb and the OK button!

what can i have done wrong with my modified theme? how can i correct this without having to start costumizing my theme from the very beginning again (so much work!)?

Joachim Müller

when using your custome theme, right-click properties on the broken pics and check the url for the pics. Usually you just eneterd a wrong path. If you're not sure, attach your custom theme as a zip file to your posting and I'll take a look into it.

sorry, I didn't post clearly what I want you to do in the first place. Do not only post theme.php, but your whole custom theme (the whole folder "paulo"), put all of it into a zip file.

here you are!

thanks again!!!

using your theme on my install works fine, I can use batch-add and the OK button is being displayed as expected, so I guess the problem must be on your install of coppermine. You said the batch-add works fine with other theme, so I suggest this might be a permission issue then. I noticed you disabled web users to browse your theme folders (I get a forbidden error when trying to access http://nova-bossa.anyxhost.com/H-photos/digital/themes/paulo/), maybe you have restricted access to much, so I suggest temporarily disabling the access limitation (probably in your .htaccess file).

thanks for your help.
i did what you said (.htaccess) and uploaded a file again but it didn't help!  ::)
on the other side if this was to be the problem i think i wouldn't have seen the ok button using the classic theme either before disabling access limitation, don't you think?

Casper

I'm also getting the duff header gaugau told you about, on all your coppermine pages, in both themes.
Your source code shows extra characters before the html code.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

i don't know what happened but
EVERYTHING WORKS NOW!!!
i can see the OK button, etc.
i swear: it didn't work before. then i enabled folder browser (like gaugau said), uploaded a file but it didn't work either.
so i disabled folder browser again (by default) and now it works!

good havens! what happened???
