Hello!

My name is Jordan. I run Coppermine  1.5.12 (stable) for a Britney Spears website. The link is: http://www.breatheheavy.com/xray/

Some users emailed in saying they can't see the gallery, just the header, advertisement, blank space, then the bottom ad. I know one user was using Internet Explorer. I searched the forum for an answer but couldn't seem to come across anything.

Template link is here: http://www.breatheheavy.com/xray/themes/hardwired/template.html

Was hoping to get some help - I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hi again. I tried on several different computers with Internet Explorer and only the header loaded. Was really hoping someone could help me out.

Check your site / theme here:
http://validator.w3.org/

It shows some errors.

If you and your users are using old versions of IE, then search the web for the term "Force Compatibility Mode".

Thanks for the tip! I think I had Google Analytics in the wrong spot. I don't have Internet Explorer on this computer (using a Macbook) but I'll find out from someone who is and update this.

You're great. Thanks.

breatheheavy

Argh it's still not showing for IE users even after the fix =/

What's my next step?

Αndré

IE error console tells me an error in show_ads.js. Remove that script and try again.

breatheheavy

Hello. Sorry for the late reply!

I removed the ads, but still the gallery doesn't show in IE.

Do I need to wait a little longer? Is there another solution?

Αndré

The script is still embedded at two locations.

breatheheavy

Unfortunately I had to put the ads back because of ad revenue, however when they were removed it still did not show the gallery on internet explorer, so I imagine this is not the error.

breatheheavy

Also, I tried using another theme with the ads, and it showed fine. It's something with template.html I imagine =/

Αndré

Please attach your whole theme as zip file to your next reply, so I can test (and modify) it in my gallery.

breatheheavy

Thank you so much for looking into this!!! Theme attached

Αndré

That theme won't work, as mandatory files are missing.

Αndré

You attached just the images folder of your theme.

breatheheavy

Wow I am so sorry.

Here you go:

Upgrade immediately. See the notice at the top of the page.

Please be patient - there are few volunteers and Αndré has been very busy.
(see the notice at the top of the page)

Have you asked the people having trouble to clear their cache since you have changed things in your theme?

breatheheavy

Yes I have. Man, I just hired someone 3 weeks ago to upgrade it and there's already a new version! ha. I've tried on multiple computers and I can't seem to fix this error :/

What is it about this theme that's causing this :$

Thanks for the reply

Open style.css, find
filter: dropshadow(color=#000000 offx=1, offy=1);
and remove it.
