Hello,
I would be most grateful if you could help me with a bridging problem.

Coppermine install: www.myfotos.dk
Bridging app install: www.myfriendstreet.dk
Coppermine version: perhaps cpg1.5.18 but I am unsure.

Bridging app version: PHP Version 5.3.18
Test user account: Guest / 1BTSI4AX6YZMD

Cookie name or prefix:  phpbb3_pts9d

BridgeManager settings:

URL of the bridge app:  http://www.friendstreet.dk

Relative path to your bridge app's config file:  ../bla/

Cookie prefix:   phpbb3_pts9d

I am unable to work out the Relative path to the bridge app's config file. I tried with  ../  and for a moment thought it was correct ... however I could not return to Coppermine after I had logged into my forum site.

Could you be kind enough to tell me what I should write here as the instructions are a little confusing.

Thank you very much.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Hello Phil,

and thank you for your reply. I had read that and as I understand it, it can be done  .... what I would like to know is how?  :)

"The login integration uses your bulletin board cookies, therefore it won't work if your board cookies are not visible by Coppermine. So unless you are an expert, keep things simple and install Coppermine and your bridge app on the same domain."

Phil Myglass

Actually I think I will just try with the subforum solution as I can't find any advice anywhere about bridging from one domain to another. Thank you for you time and have a great weekend :-)

Phil Myglass

Hi Phil,

I am still having trouble with the relative path even though I have made Coppermine a sub domain. Could you please help me? I have tried with most of the things which look like they should be correct without any luck. The only time I have got through is by using ../../ but then when I press on home I do not arrive at the other forum, just at coppermines home page. :-/

URL of the bridge app: http://www.friendstreet.dk
Relative path to your bridge app's config file: ???
Cookie prefix: phpbb3_jdu4l
URL to Coppermine: http://myfotos.friendstreet.dk/cpg

There is immediate access to the site if you need to have a look.

Look forward to hearing from you.

It will go to the gallery home page, as that is where the home button defaults to.

Go Config > General Settings, and change "URL of your home page"  to point to the home page of your site etc. Then save.

Running SMF 2.1.4  / Tinyportal 3.0.1, bridged with Coppermine 1.6.25, plus cpmfetch 2.0.0

Thank you Lurkalot. That works great the one way, (from coppermine to my forum). Is ../../ correct for the relative path for my bridge app's config file? Hope you are enjoying your weekend :-)

Phil Myglass

I have just checked it out and every thing is working hunky dory. Thank you both, (Phil and Lurkalot), so much for your time and help.
