I tried to install the "Hide categories" plugin but got this error. ""There was an error while processing a database query".

no luck.

So I run the debug and did the changed and now it works in debug mode. But when I turn it off the index.php don't work.

I have deleted the plugin and uninstalled it including uploading the backup index.php and catmgr.php file.

How can I make it work properly again when switching off debug?

The plugin you tried to install is for CPG 1.4. So that may be the problem.
