avatars like CPG staff?

Hi Friends,
From the moment I registered here I've been quite taken with the avatars used by the CPG staff.    Are they available to the public?  I've done some searching in the forum, thinking maybe there is a plugin.  And it does look like there's a plugin for the forum plugin (which adds a forum to a stand alone gallery) for 1.4x or earlier.  But anyway, I haven't found it, if there is one for 1.5x.

What can you tell me about those awesome avatars?

There was an Avatar generator on Joachim's website (http://osterburken.net/). Unfortunately it's not available anymore.
