I'm using Coppermine and it's great module.

But i don't have any clue how to link an album to the menu. Normally the link looks like this:
http://www.sitename.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=pnCPG&file=index&url=modules/pnCPG/coppermine/index_pn.php?parm=admin|1|0|0|0||http://www.sitename.com/%26check=2366f7523b916264adba08f523e0dda6

Obviously I cannot put something like that to the menu.

Both ways presented in readme (e.g. {pnCPG} ) are not good enough. Could you please suggest me a solution: a URL to the album 1?

Thanks in advance, Szybki

I didn't recognize that this forum is absolutely death.

Nevertheless, maybe somebody else will have similar issue. Solution is:
http://www.sitename.com/index.php?module=pnCPG&func=view&soort=2&album=1&pos=0

Of course all parameters can be different, but the meaning is obvious.

support on this sub-board is only provided by the porter of the module you're using, Cas Nuy, who only occasionally visits this place, so it's not entirely dead, but responses may be a bit slower than on other boards. Please allow a bit more time in the future for Cas to answer your issues.

OK.

But you know how it works. Usually everybody has to do something in very short time. Then after (let say) 1 hour of research he/she starts to llok at support forum and then posts own post.
It would be great if somebody will answer quickly. Otherwise posting person has to solve it alone and maybe post the solution at the forum (as I did).

But then it is hard to call such forum a real support forum.

The supporters and devs on this site are all unpaid volunteers, and have their own lives to lead.
We do our best to answer questions on all boards, but as Gaugau said, the only person who knows the answer to your question (before you worked it out yourself) only visits this site now and again.

You will get support, but you will have to be patient, particularly on this board.

And by learning how to deal with the problem yourself, you have increased your knowledge and ability, and have yourself become part of the support available to others.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Would you prefer to lock down this entire support forum and get no support at all? Your attitude seems very demanding to me and not appropriate at all (especially when looking for support on a free software product)  >:( . You could have started by reading the docs that come with the pn-port and the discussion on this thread about Cas' support activities. You could as well start to give something back to the community by sticking around and doing support as well, as I'm sure there will be questions in the future that you possibly could answer.

Hello Casper, Hello GauGau,

You are partially right. You (and others) are doing that job for free and all of this is on top of your development work.

On the other hand I provide my site also for free and I never allow any of my guests to wait long time to get an answer. So, yes: my attitude is very demmanding. But I have the same rules for others and for myself.

And maybe I will help others with Coppermine if I will find some time apart of regular duties.

Cheers, Szybki

Szybki, what is your site and how do you deal with request if you are not around or do you have a whole team to support your site ?
You say "if I will find some time apart of regular duties", well that is exactly what we all do. Yes, we all want to have the answer NOW but hey, get down to earth. Even where you pay for your support you do not get instant replies all the way.
Anyway you found the answer yourself which is even better.

I'm not sure whether we really need to discuss my approach to my live and my site, but... Yes, I answer very quickly on my own forum. Much quicker than you.
But this is not my issue. And as I see nor yours. So, we can close this topic.
