Looking to upgrade my site www.wickedprops.com from the current version 1.4.21 to the latest version.

I'm also open to advice of anything changes that may help to improve the site.

Upgrading is relatively simple with the possible exception of your theme. While awaiting for a freelancer to assist, do you think you would be up to upgrading to the latest version of 1.4.x by yourself? If you make backups of your database and files first you should have no problems.

Why do I suggest this? First is there were a few important security fixes between your version and 1.4.27 which could put you at risk. Second is it will help you keep up to date in the future. Once you have the skills it is very simple to update in the same version line. Keeping up to date is the best way to protect yourself from attack by some scuzzball hacker.

If you are not confident to do this yourself right now, pay a little extra to whoever does the work for them to teach you the basics and maybe walk you through it.

Just as a note, I just do not have the time or inclination to take on paid work like this. Always happy to help, just not take a fee and do all the work. There are plenty who will and do a fantastic job for you.
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.

Thanks for the advice Phill  ;)

I would definitely be interested in paying whoever does the work extra to coach me through the basics and walk me through it.

Looking forward to getting it done and learning,
Wesley
