The site seems to be working bit I get the following debug output in admin mode:

/include/functions.inc.php

  • Warning line 6522: mb_strlen(): Unknown encoding "language file"
  • ... repeats 310 times ...

What should I do?

In Config -> Language & Charset settings, set Character encoding to Unicode (uff-8).
