Unique size for pictures being emailed without "losing" global size...

Hi,

Is there a way to change the size of the picture being emailed without changing the global size (normal). I would like to be able to send an ecard in, lets say 400x300, without making all intermediate pictures being that size. I hope you understand what I mean!
