I've had my forum at the root path for a few years now, we've recently been doing a number of overhauls/changes, etc..

What i'm curious to know is..
I recently installed CPG and merged it with my phpBB2, it went really nice and smooth.. thank you for that ease of use.

But I'd like to take the action of moving our forum out of the base directory and into a /forum subdir..
(cpg would not move, it'd stay in it's /gallery folder)

I can do the migration no problem.. but i'm curious if I could get a confirmation on what steps would be neccesary to do to CPG in order to keep it purring in sequence with the forum. I'm guessing a few file edits would be called for?

Some info on this would be greatly appreciated. :)

Cheers,
synth

The only change would be to the bridge file, changing the path to the forum to it's new setting.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Just out of random curiousity, (just wanted to see if this option is even remotely possible)

what are the exact details as to why forum.mydomain.com and gallery.mydomain.com wouldn't cooperate together?
my subdomains can also be accessed the same as /forum or /gallery so either method works..

any info, again would be appreciated. :)

It is possible, you'd just have to alter some files and cookie settings to make it work.

Could you allow me the details of which these are so I can give them some adjustment?
Either here or in a msg would be appreciated.
setting it up as forum.mydomain.com & gallery.mydomain.com would be ultimately a smoother transition for our community, the modular layout of it would be nice :)
