How do I get a front page for my gallery like the front page for this site?

If you're just looking for a homepage and you don't really need a CMS, you have a few options:
1. Learn HTML and code it yourself.  Good place to start is http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
2. Buy or download an HTML editor (Dreamweaver, HTML Kit, etc) and design the page how you want it.  http://www.chami.com/html-kit
3. Go to the Freelancer board and offer to pay someone to help you.  Before you do this you should define your requirements - What exactly do you want on the homepage, how should it be laid out, etc - Make simple screenshots if possible.

If you want a CMS,
Investigate using a CMS version of Coppermine - http://www.cpgnuke.com.  Please note: the CMS version is not supported on this forum, it is supported there.

  You already posted that. You seem to be a very important and busy person. The rest of us here on this board are not, we're boring ourselves to death. Personally, I can't wait to code something for you (of course free of charge) - that's at least what you're suggesting I guess. But probably you're to busy to read this posting, so you will post again what a busy person you are. 
I told you to hire someone if you're to busy, I can't help you if you're even to busy to hire people.

if you need a simple webpage i can try to help....am pretty new at html...but coz i wanna learn...i can try to build one for you. i dont know what CMS is, so cant help you there...i usually use frontpage which i think is awesome, but do let me know what u want on your page and i'll see if thats workable.

i haven't got the time to do this for you, altho it wouldn't take all that much time to design a front page..

the next thing you should be saying when someone asks you what you want is!!

you need to tell them exactly what u want on the page..

ie, do you want a realtime feed that displays the last xx amount of images in the gallery, or last number of posts etc..

do you want an who's online block to tell you how many people are visiting your site, what images, logos, text do you want.. how do you want it layed out. etc..

what other links do you want on the page..

Really the the doing is a 2nd part to your question, you need to tell people exactly what u want.. and get some kind of design drawn up..

if it's a simple html page then the design will probly take longer to do than the actually coding..
