Hi GauGau and everyone!

My website is password protected, and I'd like only members to access my Galleries. However when I installed my CPG through Fantastico Apps, it only allowed me to create a new folder (I named it "forum") in the root folder of my website. Can I move this "forum" folder to my password protected folder (pages) or will something stop working correctly (I tried it once, and aparently I had login problems)?.. How can keep my Forum only accessible to members??

Thanks!

Mikas.

labelling the folder in which coppermine resides "forum" is not very appropriate, as it's not a forum app, but a gallery. However, you can move the whole coppermine folder to any other location on your webserver, as long as you keep the structure of folders within your coppermine folder intact. The only thing you will have to do after moving the folder around is go to coppermine config and change the "target for ecards" link in there.
The fantastico package is known to cause trouble (it's buggy), that's why I recommend upgrading to an "original" package from our download section (cpg1.3.2 is the most recent stable release).

Sorry, sorry!... I meant "gallery" as the name of my folder! I use "forum" for the phpbb folder... I just mistook one for the other in my previous message!..

Now something else: Am I able to run the script for installing CPG 1.3.2, if I am not running my own server? Or does it have to be done by the hosting company??

Thanks!

Mikas.

You run the script yourself. Coppermine can be installed and run 100% by the user.
