I have previously installed Coppermine on another domain of mine, and had no problems - except that I noticed on the individual image pages, a bunch of gobbldygook text was displaying at the bottom below the image.  But my graphic configuration made the text barely noticeable, so I didn't care.

Now, I've just installed a brand new install of Coppermine on a completely different domain, and I have logged in for the very first time - changed no settings at all - and I get a whole bunch of text displaying at the top (above the main coppermine css-designated div).  Here's what it reads:

Quote_ (underscore) with spaces', 'filename_euro' => 'Change 2003_11_23_13_20_20.jpg to 23/11/2003 13:20', 'filename_us' => 'Change 2003_11_23_13_20_20.jpg to 11/23/2003 13:20', 'filename_time' => 'Change 2003_11_23_13_20_20.jpg to 13:20', 'delete' => 'Delete file titles or original size photos', //cpg1.3.0 'delete_title' => 'Delete file titles', //cpg1.3.0 'delete_original' => 'Delete original size photos', 'delete_replace' => 'Deletes the original images replacing them with the sized versions', 'select_album' => 'Select album', 'delete_orphans' => 'Delete orphaned comments (works on all albums)', //cpg1.3.0 'orphan_comment' => 'orphan comments found', //cpg1.3.0 'delete' => 'Delete', //cpg1.3.0 'delete_all' => 'Delete all', //cpg1.3.0 'comment' => 'Comment: ', //cpg1.3.0 'nonexist' => 'attached to non existant file # ', //cpg1.3.0 'phpinfo' => 'Display phpinfo', //cpg1.3.0 'update_db' => 'Update database', //cpg1.3.0 'update_db_explanation' => 'If you have replaced coppermine files, added a modification or upgraded from a previous version of coppermine, make sure to run the database update once. This will create the necessary tables and/or config values in your coppermine database.', //cpg1.3.0 ); ?>

I thought this might be something in the .php or .css file for the style (Classic, obviously - I'm using the default settings), but can't find it in either.  This same text displays at the top of all pages.

Where does this appear in the CM php files, and what should I do to fix it in such a way that it doesn't affect the code?

THANKS!

If you see such code, you either did custom modifications (try using an unmodified theme that comes with coppermine temporarily to test), or one (or more) files got corrupted. Re-upload you files (maybe you should even download a fresh apckage). Make sure to upload using the proper ftp-mode.
To tell you more, a link might be helpfull.

Thanks for the offer of help.

I have already re-installed the files, same problem.  And like I mentioned, I did NOTHING to the install, no mods, customizing, changing of any setting whatsoever.  From the first moment after I ran install.php and logged on for the first time, that text appeared.  And like I mentioned, I'm using the "Custom" scheme that came with the package.  And this domain is brand-new: there are no other databases running on it to conflict- in fact the entire domain is empty save for the default index page and coppermine.

I'll reinstall everything a third time and see...  Thanks!

Did you try getting a fresh copy from the download section, in case you download was corrupted.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
