When I try to delete a picture I get an error saying:
'directory is not writable, file can't be deleted'
How can I delete a picture?
I refer to this topic which seems the same problem, but there is no answer.

directory is not writable
You have to set the permissions of that directory on file system level correctly. Usually you can do this with your FTP client application or via SSH.
permission for directory is 0777
permission for files is 0666
Isn't that correct?
Should be correct. Please post a link to your gallery, enable debug mode for all and also post a test user account which can upload pictures, so we can perform some tests.
debug is now on

Of course I meant:
QuotePlease disable your Apache access restriction temporary or post a valid user account
Either you can do that in some kind of control panel or directly in your
.htaccess file.
Sorry I don't have the rights for that.
The testeraccount works here. What do I need to do to make it valid for you?
It doesn't work for the attached login prompt.
try [removed by request]
is there a way to hide this discussion?
don't want others to see all the accounts
They don't work anyway. But if you want me to delete them, I'll remove the account data from your posts.
yes if you want to do that, please.
is there another way to see what might be the problem?
No.
do you need information from the phpinfo?
No, I need a working test account.
