register problem

i actived in the config that user can register, and the end the get an message the new user will receive an email and he must activate his account. my problem, the new user will not receive any mail. what is wrong?
is it possible that the admin will receive a mail when a new user is registered?

make sure that the whole coppermine gallery is able to send emails in the first place - try sending an ecard to yourself. You may have to use smtp instead of sendmail, refer to the docs for details.
