need help on move gallery to another server

hi guys
sorry if i posted in a wrong place. but it is a issue about cpg 1.4x

now i am using a webhost which have cpg 1.21 pre-installed on my account as they never update

i have about 400 pics in that gallery, i am thinking change a host(has cpg 1.4X installed), but the question is how can i move my galley?

i made 2 options for my self

1: move entire gallery folder to new host
2: may be move some configuration file and pictures only ?

either way i am not sure would working fine~  please help me on this

Update to 1.4 following the instructions in the docs.
Make a dump of your database in phpmyadmin
Copy all coppermine files + pics to the new server
Import the database dump
Edit include/config.inc.php so that it contains correct info for your new server and db arrangements.
