Field 'description' doesn't have a default value error

Fault/issue : when creating a new album via the albums button, when I pressed the "apply modifications" button I got the following

While executing query "INSERT INTO cpg143_albums (category, title, uploads, pos) VALUES ('0', 'New album', 'NO',  '133')" on 0
mySQL error: Field 'description' doesn't have a default value

Can anyone advise me on this? full debug info available for developers.

Please update to the latest stable version before reporting issues.

Well Nibbler the last time I was told that I did upgrade and ended up with a corrupted system, and as far as I can make out, the 1.4.4 is 1.4.3 but with the latest security patch.

Update: all seems fine now, upgraded to 1.4.4 though the version checker says that the version.php is a development version
