can't login after install

Hey all.  I got the message saying that the installation was completed, but at the top I get this error message:

Warning: fopen("install.lock", "wb") - Permission denied in /peakweb/virtual-cycles/virtual-cycles.com/htdocs/coppermine/install.php on line 490

I click to continue and everything seems ok, but when I login using the admin info for my phpbb 2.06 forum, I get taken to my phpbb forum page.  If I try to return to coppermine, I have to login again, and I keep going in circles.

browse youre coppermine-directory and look for a file called install.lock.
if there isn't any file with that name, try to check the permissions for "/peakweb/virtual-cycles/virtual-cycles.com/htdocs/coppermine/".
install.php should be able to write into that directory

Thanks for the help.  There was no install.lock file so I changed the permissions on the coppermine directory like you suggested...then I reinstalled coppermine and this time there were no error messages

It seems that the login problem is a separate issue, though.  I still can't login to coppermine with the admin account of my forum.  I click login and it takes me to the login page for my phpbb forum, I login, and then I am kept at the forum.  If I go back to coppermine, I have to login again.  

At least there were no errors...I'm sure there is a simple answer to the other problem...thanks again!

oops, forget it...it works now.  We use a beta server to test things and as soon as I sync'd the servers the login started to work.  Thanks again for the help!
