install help

hello. (using the very latest stable d/l on fedora: mysql and php)

i tried looking for this this on the boards first, but i haven't seen anything on it.

on the install.php page, it asks me for my database host, username, password and prefix.

what is my database name and password?  i just installed the latest and most stable mysql, and setup the root password, with no errors.

do i use my root name and password here?

Yes - make sure you create a new table structure for Coppermine first.

To make things easier, you may want to look at phpMyAdmin to interface your MySQL and perhaps create a separate mysql account just for yourself if you're not the only user on the system.
