Uploading Pictures

Im new to coppermine photo gallerys and i don't know how to upload the pictures. Im in my admin area and i use Smart FTP for my website. How do i get the photographs i want to appear in my actual gallery?  Im confused!

how do i add folders into folders? if you know what i mean... like different catogarys into a folder.  :-\
